# POST /api/v1/credit/limit-change-requests/{request_id}/decision

> Approve or reject a limit-change request

- **Tag:** credit
- **Operation ID:** `decide_limit_change_request`

## Description

`approve` moves the line to the requested limit (or `limit_cents`) through the same path as `PATCH /credit/lines/{id}`: one `credit.line.limit_changed` event and one issuer push. `reject` leaves the limit alone. A console action: an API token gets `403`, and the person who made the request cannot approve it (`400`). `400` when the request is no longer pending, including one that has expired.

## Authentication

Bearer token in `Authorization` header.
Required header: `x-business-id: <business uuid>`.

## Parameters

- `request_id` (path, string, required)

## Request body

Schema: `LimitChangeRequestDecision`

- `decision` (string · required) (one of: approve, reject)
- `note` (string) — The approver's note, stored as `decision_note`.
- `limit_cents` (integer) — Approve a different limit than the one requested. Must sit in the program envelope; the figure applied is written into `decision_note`. Ignored when rejecting.
